Vice President, Marketing
Apply NowCadence is the clinical AI company automating the treatment of chronic disease. Its Clinical Intelligence takes on the routine, high-volume work of chronic care – monitoring patients, surfacing risks, and coordinating action – so clinicians can focus on the decisions that require them. Grounded in partnerships with more than 20 leading health systems, deep EMR integrations, dedicated medical group, and experience serving a population of more than 100,000 patients, the system learns from real-world care delivery, improving as it scales. Cadence has been recognized by TIME as one of the Top 100 HealthTech Companies and by LinkedIn as a Top Startup (#4, 2025).
The Role
We're hiring a Vice President, Marketing to own Cadence's demand generation engine and unify marketing behind a single pipeline and revenue plan. This is the first unified marketing leader in the company's history, connecting Communications and Brand with Customer Marketing and a demand generation function you will build from the ground up. You will work across Growth, Revenue Operations, Product, and Data to convert Cadence's credibility with health systems, clinicians, and the 2,300 primary care providers and cardiologists using Cadence nationwide into a measurable pipeline.
What You'll Do
- Build and run the demand generation function, Cadence's most critical near-term pipeline gap, and design and execute account-based marketing (ABM) programs targeting health systems and CMO networks.
- Oversee all paid marketing activities, including SEO/AEO oversight and website optimization, paid conference participation, and sponsorships that build Cadence's presence among health system buyers.
- Sequence case studies, partner spotlights, and earned media assets into outbound campaigns that move priority accounts from awareness to evaluation, and own the handoff from marketing-qualified leads to AEs with clean routing and closed-loop reporting.
- Partner with Communications and Brand to align all three marketing functions behind shared pipeline and revenue goals, acting as the single accountable owner for marketing outcomes in a refreshed board plan.
- Own lifecycle and expansion marketing, refining provider and patient journeys with Cadence for stronger engagement, retention, and clinical outcomes.
- Partner with Product, Data, and Revenue Operations to define and own the marketing tech stack, funnel instrumentation, and CRM attribution model, and report on pipeline sourced, pipeline influenced, MQL-to-SQL conversion, and CAC.
- Lead, mentor, and grow a distributed marketing team across demand gen and customer marketing, hiring demand gen talent as the immediate organizational priority and determining the right time to formalize product marketing as a distinct function.
What You Need
- 8-12+ years of progressive B2B marketing experience, with at least 3 years in a senior leadership role.
- Proven track record building demand generation and ABM programs from the ground up in a growth-stage or mid-market company, personally built and run rather than only overseen.
- Experience marketing to health systems, hospital networks, or enterprise healthcare buyers, as well as patients and providers, strongly preferred.
- Demonstrated command of the full marketing funnel, from brand awareness through pipeline generation and customer expansion, including measurement frameworks that track pipeline sourced, MQL-to-SQL rates, and CAC.
- Track record managing marketing in a resource-constrained environment, prioritizing ruthlessly and delivering outsized impact with lean budgets.
- Experience partnering closely with a sales organization, reporting into a revenue-focused executive, and leading cross-functionally without direct authority.
- Fluency with AI research and productivity tools and the ability to evaluate AI-driven insights critically, distinguishing signal from noise in a fast-moving information environment.
Compensation
Expected on-target earnings (OTE) for this role range between $380,000 - $425,000, depending on experience, skills, seniority, and business needs. Total compensation includes base salary, variable incentive compensation, and equity as part of the overall package.
