Build Clinical AI for Managing Chronic Care

Our internship program will give you the opportunity to own a project at the intersection of AI, healthcare data, and distributed systems — and ship software that helps patients live healthier, longer lives.

Building the Future of Primary Care

Build what chronic care needs next.

We are the clinical AI company automating the routine, high-volume work of chronic care so clinicians can focus on the decisions that require them. As an intern, you will build and ship AI-powered experiences that support care between visits.

Here are a few projects our past interns have shipped.

Kat // MIT 2026

Reschedule care in minutes

A voice agent for appointment rescheduling: patients can make appointment changes immediately, without waiting for a representative or spending time in a call queue. By automating this predictable workflow, it frees our Patient Success specialists to focus on more complex, higher-touch patient needs.

Malcolm // University of Utah 2026

Troubleshoot device issues

A device troubleshooting agent — this voice agent performs technical troubleshooting with a patient to diagnose their device issue, then helps them resolve it on the spot using standard operating procedures and device manuals. Once resolved, it confirms their vitals were received so that the Cadence care team can monitor their progress.

Quinn // MIT 2025

Surface patient wins

A transcript review system that analyzes patient calls and surfaces meaningful wins to care teams and providers. It recognizes improved medication adherence, peace of mind from catching an alert, or early detection of a serious episode that leads to a timely ER referral. It helps providers stay up-to-date with their patients' progress.

Our Team

Patients see their doctor once a year, sometimes only for 15 minutes. At Cadence, we build software that manages their care the other 364 days — clinical agents under clinician oversight, helping health systems deliver proactive care, not reactive treatment.

You are a product-minded builder. You care as much about the outcome as the implementation. You learn quickly, take ownership, and want your code to improve patients’ lives.
